When I was a kid, I remember my parents bought me a book called something like “American Landscapes” or “American Natural Beauty”, I don’t really remember it’s title. But I do remember most of the pictures inside it. Ever since, I’ve been a big fan of nature photography. When I take my camera out for a spin, 99% of my pictures are nature related, pictures of trees and plants, how modern monuments and constructions merge with the landscape. Another thing I love is the – usually – complete absence of people in the photos. Nothing against people, but I prefer having nature left on it’s own. (more…)

The power of the image

I’ve always believed that an image is worth a thousand words. That’s why I think I went on to study advertising and design. Ever since I was a kid I had a great interest for art in general; art was always my favorite class and drawing (and video games) my favorite hobby. Nowadays, I can say I’m happy working with something I love so much. But, anyways… I was going through some of the sites I usually read and ran into a post I really enjoyed. (more…)
